A Managed Print Services program is based on a cost per page model where the customer pays a certain cost for every page printed. In exchange, the Vendor takes care of everything needed, except paper, to keep the customer’s printers and copiers running. A Managed Print Services program includes all the toner the customer needs, free onsite service with 4 hours response times, parts, labor, maintenance kits, expert helpdesk support, printer and driver installation, analytics, reporting, and a whole lot more. Properly managed, a Managed Print Services program can save customers 30% to 40% on their printing and copying costs. Best of all, it gets customers out of the print business. How much do you get paid?

You are paid a percentage of the gross revenue minus taxes and freight. The amount you get paid is based on the customers that you sign up. There are many factors that determine how much you get paid. How many printers a customer has or how much printing they are doing each month determines how much gross revenue is generated. A customer with a single small desktop printer that doesn’t print that much each month may only pay you a few dollars a month. A customer with lots of printers and multiple locations may pay you several thousands of dollars a month. It all depends on the number of printers they have and how much they are printing. How do we bill customers?

We have a few ways that we can handle billing the customers. Most MSPs prefer that we bill the customers directly and just send them a check every month.
